ALAN HALLMAN

Mr. Hallman has worked for over 18 years within the Alberta, Yukon and Federal Governments at the political level. He has designed and executed government relations strategies for clients in almost every sector of the economy, including health care, technology, manufacturing, energy and pipelining, consumer products and fundraising to name a few.

Mr. Hallman was Executive Director of the Alberta Growth Summit in 1997, is a board member on a publicly traded company, a provincially appointed committee and several not-for-profit organizations. He is also a proud recipient of the Alberta Centennial Medal. Mr Hallman serves as Chair of the audit committee for Aqua-Pure.


RALPH KLEIN

The Honorable Ralph Klein was the Mayor of Calgary from 1980 until 1989. Elected three times with some of the largest pluralities in the cities history. His major accomplishments include the Calgary Light Rail Transit System, the 1988 Winter Olympics to Calgary and the protection of the Bow River.

Mr Klein was elected to the Alberta Legislature in 1989 and was appointed Environment Minister of Alberta where he oversaw the development of the Environmental Protection Act.

Sworn in as Alberta's twelfth premier on Dec.14, 1992, Mr Klein led his party to successive victories in 1993, 1997, 2001 and 2004. As Premier, he downsized Government, balanced the budget, oversaw the orderly paydown of debt and spearheaded the drive for private sector job creation. On July 12, 2004, Premier Klein announced that Alberta had retired its 23 billion dollar debt.

In 2006, Mr Klein returned to the private sector. While his many awards are to numerous to mention them all, they include his induction into the Olympic Order, in 1989 he was named "Calgarian of the decade", in1995 he was awarded as Calgary's "Man of the Century". In 1993 he became the second white person in history to be adopted into the Siksika (Blackfoot Nation) and in 1996 the Blood Tribe made him an honorary Chief.


HAROLD LAUMAN, SINCE 1997

Mr. Lauman is the President of Aqua-Pure Ventures Inc. and sits on the compensation committee. Mr. Lauman has an extensive background in the waste management field. Positions held by Mr. Lauman include the following:
• Current President of Aqua-Pure Ventures.
• District Manager of Browning Ferris Industries from 1989 to 1995.
• General Manager of Cenoka Industries from 1977 to 1989.
• Current director and officer of Shelter Investments Ltd., Haron Research Corp. and South Point Management Ltd.


JACOB HALLDORSON, P.ENG, SINCE 1998

Mr. Halldorson is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation. He was previously a senior executive and a founding partner of Colt Engineering Corporation, a Calgary-based private engineering firm founded in 1973. Mr. Halldorson was directly involved in the creation of the Syncrude Strategic Alliance and the Imperial Oil/Colt Alliance, which he managed for a two year period. He was also a director of Net Shepherd Inc., a public corporation listed on The Alberta Stock Exchange, the Chairman of Anadime Corporation, a public corporation listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and a former director of Axia NetMedia Corporation, a public corporation listed on The Toronto Stock Exchange. Mr. Halldorson is also a director and officer of Hallmark Resources Ltd. Mr. Halldorson currently sits on the compensation committee for Aqua-Pure Ventures Inc.


RICHARD MAGNUS, SINCE 2002 - CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD

Mr. Magnus was elected to his third term as Member of the Legislative Assembly for Calgary-North Hill on March 12, 2001. In addition to his regular duties as MLA, he is chair of the Calgary Caucus, chair of the Regulatory Review Secretariat, chair of the Unity Office, vice-chair of the Standing Committee on the Alberta Heritage Savings Trust Fund, a member of the Standing Committee on Private Bills, and a member of the Standing Policy Committee on Agriculture and Municipal Affairs. Mr. Magnus is currently on the audit committee for Aqua-Pure Ventures Inc.
Mr. Magnus has previously served as:

• Chair, Standing Policy Committee on Financial Planning.
• Chair, Standing Policy Committee on Natural Resources and Sustainable Development.
• Alberta's representative on the Energy Council.
• Chair, Council on Professions and Occupations.
• Chair, All party MLA Consultation Committee, Justice Summit.
• Prior to his election to Alberta's Legislature, Mr. Magnus served as City of Calgary Alderman for Ward 4.


BRENT HALLDORSON, P.ENG, SINCE 2006

Mr Halldorson is a Professional Engineer that has been working with Aqua-Pure Ventures Inc. for over six years and is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer. Mr Halldorson has been involved with the design, manufacturing and commissioning of Aqua-Pure technology from its infancy. Prior to acting as C.O.O, Brent’s duties for the Company have included project management and operations management. Mr Halldorson previously worked for Colt Engineering as lead electrical engineer for several major oilfield projects in Western Canada, including the Alliance Pipeline. Mr Halldorson managed the electrical construction for the BP Badami Project on the North Slope of Alaska.


RANDAL OBERLAG, P.ENG, SINCE 2006

Mr. Oberlag holds a BS from the Columbia University School of Engineering, a BA in physics and a Juris D€octorate in law. Mr. Oberlag is a registered professional engineer in Oklahoma and several other states, and has been a member of the Society of American Military Engineers, the National Association of Corrosion Engineers and the American Bar Association. He brings over 30 years of environmental experience and currently serves as president of Enviro & Emergency Management Services Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Aduddell Industries in Oklahoma. Mr. Oberlag currently sits on the Audit committee for Aqua-Pure Ventures Inc.


RICHARD STROUP, P.ENG, MBA, SINCE 2006

Mr. Stroup holds a BS in chemical engineering, as well as an MBA from Texas A&M University. He brings a wealth of experience in analysis, design and construction, having supervised the construction of a liquid fertilizer plant in Kansas and assisted in the acquisition and capital improvement designs for a large feed mill in Texas and a large dairy facility in Oklahoma. Alan Ritchey Inc. in Valley View, Tex., employs Mr. Stroup as Vice-President of Engineering and Information Technology, and Operations Manager for six mail transport service centres for USPS, Armco, a sand mining and distribution facility, as well as oil field brine transportation and disposal. Mr. Stroup also provides engineering expertise for the ARI equipment divisions. Mr. Stroup is a member of Aqua-Pure’s compensation committee.
