Aqua-Pure's design takes advantage of the most recent innovations in heat exchanger technology, incorporating a compact state-of-the-art wide-gap plate reboiler exchanger that utilizes very low approach temperatures and high reboiler flow rates, maximizing the thermal transfer efficiency while minimizing fouling.
Compact – The Aqua-Pure design requires a very small footprint compared to traditional “shell & tube” style evaporator systems, allowing Aqua-Pure systems to be shipped as complete pre-assembled modules.
Modular – Aqua-Pure’s technology is well suited for modular design concepts. Our expertise in using this modular approach has proven to be an effective method that minimizes overall project costs, improves project schedules, and allows for a more thorough inspection in a controlled environment. Modularization concepts are preferred based on the following advantages: Each system is custom designed with transportation limitations for each project location. Improved quality due to manufacturing in controlled conditions with a highly experienced, permanent work force. Modularization reduces field construction costs in adverse construction environments. The modular concept improves the long-term value of equipment, since it may be easily moved to a future location.
Energy Efficient – Aqua-Pure systems recover 97% of the energy required to distil water (<25 BTU/lb wastewater feed). This results in very low energy consumption, typically 60 to 70 kW / 1000 usg of wastewater feed.
Flexible – Aqua-Pure systems can be powered from natural gas, electricity, steam or waste energy. Evaporators are designed to handle wastewater with varying influent characteristics while maintaining consistently high quality distilled water output.
Fully Automatic Operation – All Aqua-Pure systems are PLC controlled and utilize an Operator Interface. Remote trouble-shooting can be offered instantaneously via a modem connection.
Reliable – Aqua-Pure systems are designed for severe-duty industrial service. The patented reduced fouling design in conjunction with a chemical addition program maximizes system run time.
Serviceable – The Aqua-Pure design provides unparalleled ease of maintenance. In the event that cleaning or inspection is required, a reboiler can be completely dismantled, cleaned and re-assembled in one shift. All equipment is mounted at or near grade for access.
